No Window Above Your Sink? Add Storage, Function, or Unique Design Features!

Updated: Feb 1, 2019

Gazing out your kitchen window taking in the sun, warmth and fresh air, and forgetting about the stacks of dishes to be washed, is what most would desire. Although windows above kitchen sinks are common, sometimes it just isn't possible. If you find yourself in this predicament, get excited about the endless opportunity you have to add storage, function and unique design features to your space. Without a window above the sink, you have the ability to incorporate additional closed cabinetry, shelving, or specialty glass cabinetry. Use a unique accent tile with color, texture or contrasting lines to create interest and dimension. Add an under-cabinet light hidden by trim to provide ambiance and task lighting. Take advantage of every opportunity to add function, design features or storage to your space.
