What it is

A conversation about your project with a designer who has spent 19 years doing this work.

You show her the space. You ask your questions. She tells you what will work, what won't, and why.

Who it's for

People who want a professional opinion before they commit to anything.

Kitchens and baths, additions, a room that needs rearranging, colors and finishes, furniture and window treatments, or a whole house you are trying to make sense of. If it is a design, space planning, or decorating question, it fits.

Maybe you have a plan and want to know if it holds up. Maybe you are choosing between two materials and cannot decide. Maybe you have a room that does not work and you cannot figure out why.

You do not need to be ready to start a project. You do not need to live nearby.

What happens

Shenley will ask about the space, how you use it, and what is bothering you about it. You walk her through it on camera.

From there it depends on what you brought. Layout questions, material questions, what tends to cause problems down the road, what a realistic budget looks like for what you are describing. She answers what you ask.

The hour is yours.

How to prepare

The more you bring, the more useful the hour is.

• Photos of the space, taken in daylight
• Rough measurements if you have them
• A simple sketch showing where windows, doors, and appliances sit
• Inspiration photos of things you like
• Your questions, written down

After you book, your confirmation email includes a link to your booking page, where you can upload photos and documents ahead of time. It helps Shenley to look before the call rather than during it.

None of this is required. You can show up with your phone and walk around.

After the call

Some people take what they learned and handle the rest themselves. That is a fine outcome.

If you want Shenley to keep working on it, that is a separate agreement with its own scope and cost, discussed and signed before any work begins. Anything beyond this hour is additional scope of work, agreed on and charged separately.

The details

$125 for one hour. Paid when you book.

By video. You will get a link with your confirmation. Any device with a camera works.

Rescheduling. You can reschedule once with at least 24 hours' notice, using the link in your confirmation email.

Cancelling. The fee is not refundable. If something comes up, reschedule instead, or call the studio and we will do what we can.

If Shenley needs to reschedule, you can pick a new time or have the fee refunded in full.

In English. No limit on where you live.
